“Veer Zara” shot here by Yash Chopra filled the air with whiff of romance cementing bonds of growing Indo-Pak friendship and broke records and won several awards. Starring Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Manoj Bajpai, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini, the emotional love story was shot at Khalsa College as the Lahore High Court, besides the Indo-Pak border.

“Rang De Basanti”, too proved a hit here. With Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan and Kiron Kher, the Punjabi colour dominated the screen. The film shows scenes shot at the Khalsa College as National College, Lahore.
